Jennifer Thonert
CPA, SENIOR STAFF ACCOUNTANT
Jennifer Thonert received her Bachelor’s Degree in Atmospheric Science from Purdue University and obtained her Post-Baccalaureate Accounting Certificate from IPFW. She has been a CPA in the accounting profession for more than 10 years, primarily preparing tax returns for a variety of companies and individuals. Before joining the team at SBS she worked for a large local public accounting firm and a private company in its accounting department. Jennifer enjoys playing games and spending time outside with her husband and two children.
Shane Lengerich
SENIOR STAFF ACCOUNTANT
Shane Lengerich received his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Indiana University’s Doermer School of Business in the spring of 2014. His prior accounting experience was with a ministry focused accounting firm. Shane is our cryptocurrency expert and he enjoys preparing multi-state income tax returns and complicated income tax returns. In his time off, Shane enjoys traveling (the further the better), book clubs, and games of all kinds.
Michael Salazar
SENIOR STAFF ACCOUNTANT
Michael received a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Indiana University Fort Wayne in the spring of 2019. In the summer of 2022, he enrolled in courses again to complete credit requirements for the CPA exam and hopes to take it soon. Michael is a board member for the HLCNI (Hispanic Leadership Coalition of Northeast Indiana) where he helps new college students find financial help to make their college experience less stressful. He likes spending time with his dog named Rojo by either going to dog parks or taking him on walks. He also enjoys playing sports and you can usually find him playing kickball in the summer. Mr. Salazar is sort of an adrenaline junkie who goes to Cedar Point every month when they are open, rides a motorcycle when he can, and is even trying to go skydiving soon.
Nathan Skinner
STAFF ACCOUNTANT
Nathan Skinner received his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Dayton in May of 2021. He will obtain his MBA in June of 2023 and will begin taking the CPA exam afterwards. While completing his undergraduate degree, he was a bookkeeper for two small businesses in the Dayton area. Working with these two businesses and his internship with a Dayton CPA firm confirmed that he wanted to continue a career in public accounting. In his free time, Nathan enjoys golfing and trying new restaurants here in Fort Wayne.
Michelle Felger
BOOKKEEPER
Michelle Felger received her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana. Before coming to SBS she worked 25 years at a small business in Fort Wayne as an office manager doing bookkeeping and other miscellaneous office work. She has one son attending Purdue University, West Lafayette. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing the piano and traveling.
Nikkie Reyes
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Nikkie Reyes has over 20 years of experience as an administrative assistant. She has two sons with a third on the way; one is in high school and the other is in elementary school. Her hobbies include listening to 90s R&B, bowling with her family, baking, and watching her two boys play sports. Sports mom all the way! She loves fall and watching football.
