Mike Sylvester

Mike is a veteran of the United States Navy and graduated from Naval Electronics “A” School, Naval Nuclear Power School, and Naval Nuclear Plant Operations Prototype in 1991. He became a Journeyman Electrician in 1999. He received an Associates Degree of Applied Science in Industrial Maintenance from Ivy Tech in 2003. He earned a Bachelors Degree in Business with a specialty in Accounting from Indiana University in 2006. He is an IPFW Lawson Scholar and a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, a national honorary for business. He earned his MBA from IPFW in 2011.

He has fifteen years of industrial experience including six years as an electronics technician on a nuclear powered submarine, two years as a mechanical equipment operator in a civilian nuclear power plant, three years as a journeyman electrician in a multi-function steel mill, and four years as the maintenance manager of a manufacturing, assembly, packaging, and warehousing facility.  He joined the firm full-time in August of 2004.


He specializes in preparing complicated income tax returns, tax planning, and tax advisory services for high net worth individuals and businesses.


He and his wife Karena live in Fort Wayne where they raised two children, Kayla and Graydon.  He enjoys reading, travelling, fishing, cooking, and spending time with his wife.
