The importance of doing a site visit when performing a business valuation.

Site visits are often extremely important when valuing a business.

Many large national firms do not perform site visits; instead they rely on a questionnaire.

I feel that site visits are critical to most business valuations.  Earlier this month I did a site visit for a valuation I was working on and found out information that changed my conclusion of value from approximately $50,000 to well over three quarters of a million dollars.

I feel that site visits are important to most business valuations; furthermore, I think interviewing skills are essential those who perform business valuations.
