2009 Internal Revenue Service notices

Many taxpayers are just now getting tax notices concerning their 2009 Federal income tax returns.  Most of these notices are matching notices.  A matching notice is when the records the IRS has do not agree with the tax return filed.  The Internal Revenue Service has an automated system that generated these notices.

These notices are often completely incorrect.

If you are one of our clients and if you receive one of these notices please fax the notice to us as soon as you receive it.  We will investigate the notice and determine if it is correct or not and prepare the appropriate response.
